During the annual FFA Day on the Hill event, members from chapters across the state gather in Montgomery to learn about state government.

Pickleball may very well be the fastest-growing sport in the U.S. In East Alabama, the city of Opelika is a haven for pickleball enthusiasts thanks to their excellent facilities.

Once upon a time, most of the peanuts in Alabama came from the Southeastern counties of the state due to the sandy soil there. Over the past couple decades, farmers in various parts of Alabama have found that goobers grow well in other areas too. As a result, the industry has expanded and a shelling plant in Atmore is the newest addition.

Plus, we have another Alabama Smart Yards, thanks to Alabama Cooperative Extension System! Lucy Edwards will tell you what to look for when you’re out shopping for plants so you get the most bang for your buck.

It’s a lot of savory with a little bit of sweet. Stacey Little of SouthernBite.com is cooking up a Tomato Cobbler with Pimento Cheese Biscuits. Think of it as a side dish rather than a dessert, and it’s sure to become a family favorite! And thanks to Sweet Grown Alabama for sponsoring this segment.
