Located in Whistler, Alabama, you’ll find a little restaurant that will have you singing the praises of its barbecue. At one time, there was a body shop and gas station located in that spot, but that business was the victim of Hurricane Frederic in 1979. Facing adversity, R.C. McMillan — commonly known as Mr. Mac — decided his old business spot was perfect for a barbecue joint. Now, his daughter, Carolyn Jackson, carries on the family tradition at McMillan Bar-b-que.
