Show 912 – Circle J Dairy

Just a few weeks ago, we told you about Gilmer Dairy Farm in Lamar County closing its dairy to focus on raising beef cattle. Just down the road in neighboring Pickens County, members of the Junkin family have revived the old family dairy. Ralph Junkin Jr.; his daughter, Jessica Vails; and their herd of Holsteins and Jerseys are the people and animals behind Circle J Dairy.

Harrison Brothers Hardware Store has been in the same location in Huntsville for over 125 years. The wares have changed — rather than tools and lumber, the inventory skews more toward giftware and local products. But the shelves still hold stories of the store’s history, including an old-time cash register.
