Show 820 – Wiregrass Museum of Art

Dothan is the Peanut Capital of the World, and its agricultural heritage has inspired artistic creations ā€” from the peanut people around town to murals in the city center. But there’s more to spur creativity and innovation than just peanuts, and the Wiregrass Museum of Art is the hub where budding artists and professionals, alike, can display their masterpieces and create new works of art.

The National Infantry Museum is one of the nation’s premiere military history museums with numerous memorials, interactive exhibits and artifacts. It’s a fitting tribute to the service and sacrifices of our U.S. infantry ā€” from the Revolutionary War to present day.

Mark Byrd didn’t grow up on a farm, but farming was always his dream. He started his own operation as a teenager, and he and his wife, Sandy, have grown the farm in acres and commodities produced. Now, they’ve been named Alabama’s 2022 Farm of Distinction.

Plus, we have another Alabama Smart Yards, thanks to Alabama Cooperative Extension System! Bethany O’Rear shares tips on the best ways and time of year to prune shrubs and bushes.

Chocolate chips and peanut butter were a match made in heaven. Throw in a few more ingredients, including a pre-made cookie crust, and you get this extremely delectable dessert ā€” Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Pie. It’s straight from the SouthernBite.com test kitchen. Thanks to the Alabama Peanut Producers Association for sponsoring this segment.
