You might think you have to travel to France or Wisconsin to find nationally acclaimed cheese. But Tasia Malakasis brought award-winning goat cheese to Alabama when she opened her Belle Chevre Creamery in Elkmont.

Food is one of our basic needs, and there’s no better way to connect with strangers than by sharing a meal together. Although they’re on opposite ends of the state, two restauranteurs are connected by the creative ways they use their establishments to feed the hungry and train future food service workers.

When you think farm-to-table, fruit and vegetables may be the first commodities that come to mind. At Trinity Farms, though, they’re selling beef straight from the farm to their customers, filling their fridges and freezers with ground beef and steaks.
