Sneak Peek At Simply Southern’s Season 7!

We may be in reruns on broadcast and cable TV currently, but the Simply Southern TV crew is hard at work to bring you new and improved content for season 7! Case-in-point – our new logo and new set. But there’s plenty more to get excited about, including new show times in certain TV markets!

Want to read all about the changes starting Jan. 3? Then click here for our article in Neighbors magazine. Want a quick summary? Well – you’re in the right place!

New co-host

A familiar face to the show as director and agriculture reporter, Kevin Worthington will step behind the anchor desk to co-host with Mary Wilson.

Other new faces

Stacey Little of SouthernBite.com will join the team, ending each episode with step-by-step instructions for his easy, tasty and family-pleasing recipes. Plus, reporter Melissa Bowman will share a weekly feature.

More agriculture content

Farming and forestry are at the heart of what we do. So we’ll cram every episode with more entertaining agricultural features and quick farming facts. Like Rural Dictionary, a new 1-minute segment focused on defining confusing ag terms. That’s hosted by Alabama Ag in the Classroom‘s Kim Earwood. And select episodes will feature interviews with Alabama Farmers Federation commodity directors.

New and returning sponsors

We love sharing the good stories of Alabama, but we couldn’t do this every week if it weren’t for Simply Southern TV show sponsors. We’re excited to add Sweet Grown Alabama and Alabama Farm Credit as new contributing sponsors. Additionally, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to our returning sponsors:

New show times in three TV markets

If you watch the show on broadcast TV out of Columbus, Georgia; Dothan; or Montgomery, then pay close attention to the graphic below, because we’re moving! In Columbus, Georgia we have a new day and time. In Montgomery, we have a new station and time. And in Dothan, we have a new time slot.

If you watch the show on cable network RFD-TV or on broadcast TV out of Birmingham, Huntsville or Mobile, then share the graphic below with your friends and family. That way, y’all can chat about your favorite segments and episodes during the family Zoom call on Sunday afternoons!
